At least four of the ten were dignitaries of the Pakistan Democratic people's party. They stroll straight unto the platform,after the Pastors were removed from their seats; it did not look good.
By the way I must add that we were protected by arm guard at everymeeting. The Party introduced their leader and she rambled on for over anhour, this was definitely not in the schedule. I happened to be filming the event that evening and could see every movement of the Host Pastor and Pastor Naseem and it was uncomfortable to say the least.
Suddenly I saw the revival team leave the building with Pastor Naseem, I could not fold up the tri-pod and camera quick enough. if I am honest I felt under threat listening to the ranting of the speaker in Punjab and the arm guard stalking on the first floor.\there was no ceiling on the first floor, it was a relief to be outside. { What had we let ourselves in for }
After a short discussion we decided to stay,apparently the host Pastor was offered a sum of money to allow the political party to speak to the congregation, but did not tell Pastor Naseem.
Eventually the Political Party left, and Pastor Naseem vented his dismay to the Church, with this we continued to worship and praise God but not many was healed that night.
We left their knowing that we needed God even more than ever. We had spent time in fasting and prayer before we came to Pakistan and now we were faced with the reality of life on the mission field.

From left to right Pastor Mark,Pastor Neil, Bishop Mcleod Pastor Naseem and his beloved wife.
The first night started off pretty well, until we were interrupted in the middle of the worship service. By An entourage of ten people, we were first distracted by the loud rhythmic music that accompanied them.

Visit to Pakistan 2007: Trip organized by Bishop Mcleod of Miracle Christian center International. The time did not seem right democratic rule was
under great pressure; suicide bombs and marshal law. Pakistan was in the beginning of voting for a new priminister, a very unstable time to go.

However on the day that we left for Lahore President Musharraf took off his military uniform.
On arrival Pastor Naseem met us at Lahore airport with some members of his congregation, we were treated like royalty.Booking in did not go well as we were one room short, so Neil and Ihad to share a room, with only one bed. Thank heavens they bought in another mattress, Pastor Neil choose to sleep on it. The next morning we were moved into a double room with two beds, hallelujah.
