    Part 1                                     Tithing the Truth

John (8:32): And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

Introduction
When  it is offering time in your church, and it is time to pay you tithe, do you feel guilty?
Does the church  go silent or has the  worship leader orchestrated  it so that there is  a cheer of  approval ?
Have you been told that you will be cursed, and that you are robbing God if you didn't pay your tithes?
Have you been told that if you tithe, that you are only giving God what belongs to him and   that the windows of heaven will only open over you once an offering is given.
And that your blessing only comes from  your free will offering?
You are not alone, many of us over the years  have been  cajoled in some way in order for us to pay our tithes.
What is the truth?
The reluctant long walk  and long faces at the call of offering is about to stop. The feeling of guilt of the conscience -stricken Christian is about to end. Their will be no more giving sheepishly as you walk towards the offering basket.
Because “ you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free” it is the truth that you know that will set you free.
2 Tim.2:15
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Let us look at the word diving, in Strong’s  Concordance
Dividing = Transliteration  {Greek} Orthotomeo,   pronunciation or-tho-to-me’-o verb
1) to cut straight, to cut straight ways
a) to proceed on straight paths, hold a straight course, equiv. to doing right
2) to make straight and smooth, to handle aright, to teach the truth directly and correctly

This scripture clearly implies that the workman { Pastor } must  study God’s word  correctly , giving the impression  of a surgeon who uses his scalpel  to make a clean straight cut on his subject , to open up and look at the inside of.
So let us start by looking at the word of God and see what it says about tithing. Also be assured in your heart if the bible says to tithe you must do it but if it does not.  Then don not let anyone force you into doing something you do not believe in.                                                                         Understanding dispensations gives us a better grasp of how the word of Elohim[God ] is perfectly
structured.
Dispensations
2 Cor.3:7
Now if the dispensation of death engraved in letters on stone [the ministration of the Law], was inaugurated with such glory and splendor that the Israelites were not able to look steadily at the face of Moses because of its brilliance, [a glory] that was to fade and pass away,

Ephesians 3. 1-2The Holy Bible: King James Version.
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,  if ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
1 Corinthians 9.17 The Holy Bible: King James Version.
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
Example of dispensations  the period of  innocents began  in Eden with the creation of man  Gen.2:7-25 and ended  Gen.3:21-24
They were expunged  from Eden, but not before God  had slain an innocent animal  to cover their shame and to  show mercy. Showing that in the future innocent animals would die and that a final innocent lamb will die once and for all. Echoed in the book of revelations.
Rev.13 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life  of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Before God created the world he had a plan in mind that he would die on the cross in the form of a man.

The Law
The  Dispensation  of the Law, came about after  Moses led the people of God out of Egypt and across the Red Sea, God Called Moses up into mount Sinai and gave him the Ten Commandments. As  well as the Ten commandments God added  613  Commandments  known as the Mosaic Law,   categorized into three groups. known as ordinances and regulations.
This comprise of  a few dozen from Exodus 20-23, another 240 in Leviticus the book of numbers then add another fifty then in the last days of Moses Deuteronomy  adds approximately 200 more.
There we about 20 laws  on giving ( tithes, firstfruits, charities etc. )

a)  Moral Laws.  which are eternal, these govern human behavior  in all aspects of morality, this relate to  man’s  relationship  to God and men.
b) Ceremonial laws unique to the law of Moses. Before Sinai they did not exist,since the coming of Jesus they are no longer in force. They covered three main areas;
1) Sacrifices
2) The Tabernacle feast
3)  Holy days
These are just some examples, they were prophetic and foretold of some aspect of the coming Messiah, they are all fulfilled in Jesus Christ. {Col.2:16-17}
c) Civil laws. These laws were specific to the people of  Israel and how the should be governed, these were not binding upon any other nation.{ Psalm 147:19-20; Deut.5:3}
d) Dietary laws. For the physical health of the nation of Israel, stating which creatures were good for  clean and which were unclean {good for food}
Today  dietary  and medical experts validate the dietary laws showing the difference between  scavengers and  nutritious  creatures.
These laws have nothing to do with salvation, and is not obligatory  in the New Testament.
The Law of Moses ended with the coming of Jesus Christ Romans.10:4

                                                     When did tithing start

Gen 14:20
And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he [Abram] gave him [Melchizedek king of Salem, the priest of the most high God, Ver. 18] TITHES of all [all the goods of war, Ver. 16]."
Echoed  again in Hebrews 7:1-10
Notice that Abram did not pay tithes  of  his personal possessions  wheat, corn, wine, oil, or cattle but of the spoils of war.
There are those pastor’s that say that this shows that tithing was before the law of  Moses, so although the law ceased tithing continued.
If this is the first  proof we need  to look at it more closely.
Abram went to war to rescue his nephew Lot against the enemies of Sodom. He then gave 10%  of the  spoils of war to Melchizedek and the remainder to the king of Sodom.

Examples of tithing in the Old Testament: Jocab's tithes were voluntary  and free will.
Jocab using "if" clearly show's that this was his bidding and not a tithing universal principle.

Gen. 28:20-22, "And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, IF God will be with me, and [if God] will keep me in this way that I go, and [if God] will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; THEN shall the Lord be my God: And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shall GIVE ME I will surely give the TENTH unto thee."
Jacob propositions God that if God blessed him then he will bless God. Jacob did not tithe on what he did not possess. God agreed to Jacobs proposition.
We are always told tithe then God will bless you.
How did Jacob pay his tithes?
1) Their was no Levitical Priest
2) Their was no temple
3) Their was no where for him to send it
So what did he do?
Deut.12:6-7
"And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your TITHES, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: And there ye shall eat before the Lord your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, YE and YOUR HOUSEHOLDS, wherein the Lord thy God hath blessed thee"
Deut.14:29
"And even though there were no Levites in Jacob’s day, nonetheless, there were "...the STRANGER, and the FATHERLESS, and the WIDOW, which are within thy gates, shall come, and SHALL EAT AND BE SATISFIED; that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thin hand which thou doest"
Jacob took a portion for himself and his family in communion, giving thanks to God and sharing with the less unfortunate, the down trodden and strangers.

Leviticus 27:30-33, "And all the TITHE of the LAND, whether of the SEED of the land, or of the FRUIT, of the tree, is the Lord’s: it is holy unto the Lord. And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof. And concerning the TITHE of the HERD, or of the FLOCK, even of whatsoever passes under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the Lord. He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it..."

Where did the tithe come from?
a} The land
b} Agriculture
c} Products from trees, and oils
d} Herds of flock, the tenth one that passed under the rod
We have all been told to give God the first tenth ,some have even said the gross before tax. The word of God says here the ‘Tenth’ Tenth.
Also if a herdsman had nine cattle he would not tithe his cattle, and did not have to give his best cattle but the tenth one that past under the rod, even if it was the worst one.
This was not about sacrifices but tithing.{ animal sacrifices were to be without blemish } and nothing mentioned about money.
Numbers 18:24-28, "But the TITHES of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the Lord, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the TITHES which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the Lord, even a TENTH part of the TITHE. And this your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the corn of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress. Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the Lord of all your TITHES, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the Lord’s heave offering to Aaron the priest."
According to the above Scriptures, could just anyone claim to be a representative of God and therefore have Israel pay tithes to him? Let’s read it again, "But the TITHES of the children of Israel ... I have given to the Levites to inherit." Now in order to be a priest one not only had to be of the tribe of Levi, but he also had to be of the family of Aaron. In fact, if one could not trace his genealogy back to the family of Aaron, he could not be a priest of God. This is the whole point of Hebrews seven. Jesus Christ is a priest for the eons of the rank of Melchizedek because Melchizedek predated the law which stated that only sons of Aaron could be priests. Therefore Melchizedek’s genealogy is not given in the Scriptures, and Christ, who according to the flesh is of the line of Judah, can and will be God’s High Priest in the Kingdom of God.

The whole system changed under the New Covenant. Notice what happened:
Jesus said the temple would be utterly destroyed

"And, coming out, Jesus sent from the sanctuary. And His disciples approached to exhibit to Him the buildings of the sanctuary. Yet He, answering, said to them, 'Are you not observing all these? Verily, I am saying to you, Under no circumstances may a stone here be left on a stone, which shall not be DEMOLISHED.’" (Matt. 24:1-2).
Under the New Covenant, God does not dwell in temples made with hands,

"The God Who makes the world and all that is in it, He, the Lord inherent of heaven and earth, is NOT dwelling in temples made by hands..." (Acts 17:24).
The true believers under the New Covenant are now God’s temple,

"For YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD, according as God said, that I will be making My home and will be walking in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people" (II Cor. 6:16).

See also, (I Cor. 3:15 and I Cor. 1:19).
All theologians know that when the temple ceased, the priesthood officiating at the temple CEASED!
Each individual believer under the New Covenant forms a NEW priesthood,

"Yet you are a chosen race, a ‘ROYAL PRIESTHOOD’..." (I Peter 2:9).
How then, under the New Covenant, does a believer give a tenth, when he is supposed to give his all (Rom. 12:1), to a priesthood that does not exist, but now he himself is part of a priesthood (I Peter 2:9), at a temple that does not exist (Mat. 24:1-2), but rather he himself is the temple
wherein God dwells.

No longer do we have priests with spiritual infirmities interceding for us, but rather we have Christ Jesus as our perfect intercessor and High Priest seated at the right hand of the Majesty in the heavens (Heb. 7:28-8:1).
At this time in history, Israel owes no tithe to anyone. And, of course, we Gentiles (who are a new creation and the true Israel of God--Gal. 6:16) were never instructed to tithe in the first place. Read all thirteen books of the apostle Paul to the gentiles and find one verse where he instructed Gentiles to pay one penny of tithe money to anyone.

The new testament is about Giving the power of free will offering.
Unity in a congregation will work wonders, When the power of  Elohim is present their will be supernatural giving.
Acts 4:32-35
32     And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33    And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34   Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,

35    and laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need

Luke 6:38
give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

2 cor.9: 6-7

But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Give, give, give it is all about giving, not about tithing. tithing ceased. So why are pentecostal and Apostolic organizations still doing it ?

Is it ignorance ? no excuse the man of God should be learned in the scriptures the understanding of tithing is one of the easiest to understand in the bible.
2 tim. 2:15...study to show thyself approved unto God.

Do they actually know ?  are organizations collecting tithes knowing that it is wrong?
Are their Pastor out their collecting tithes knowing they are committing a sin.

With the down fall of banks and corruptions that is causing a cascade in the financial world, could we be looking the the biggest racket in the Christian Church.

2:Pet: 2:1-3

And MANY shall follow their pernicious [lascivious, licentious, wanton] ways; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness [greed, lust] shall they with feigned words MAKE MERCHANDISE OF YOU"  Other translations:

"Motivated by greed, they will exploit you with their counterfeit arguments" (Berkely Version).

"…in their lust they will exploit you with cunning arguments" (Moffatt Translation).

"In their greed for MONEY they will trade on your credulity with sheer fabrications"`(The New English Bible).

Very strong you may sayquite simply it is a sin to collect tithes.

For many years having spoken to many various believers under the umbrella of Christendom I have met those that say we must worship on  the Sabbath {a Saturday} and we have often told them that we are know longer under the law.

But yet we are collecting and paying tithes which was under the law.

Tithing came under the Mosaic Law Lev.27:30-33

We are no longer under the law it was nailed to the cross.

Col.2:14

blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Eph.2:15

having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace

Jer.31:33 ...I will put the law in their inward parts, and write it in the hearts.

When someone receives the Holy spirit THE FINGER OF GOD WROTE THE LAW WITHIN US.
So we do not worship the sabbath we worship the Lord of the sabbath.
We do not worship one day we worship the everyday.

Elders, Bishops, Pastor, Brothers and sisters in The Lord { yahweh } why are you doing this to this to the  people of God {Elohim}

Here is an interesting thought to leave you with.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service

How is it that we have brethren that find it so easy to pay 10% looking for a blessing but can not give Yahweh their all.

Elohim does not want your 10% he wants all of you, some of you are giving Yahweh 10% of your life.

Deut.6:4-5

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Echoed by Yahushua in Mark 12:29
and thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Matt.22:37; Mk.12:30; Lk.10:27

Very simply our creator wants all of you, body soul and spirit.

St' Claver

I challenge those of you out there in cyberspace to ask you Pastor to show you scriptural proof not opinion.

I WAS PLEASE TO FIND OUT THAT THERE IS A CHURCH IN WATFORD WITH OVER 400 MEMBERS AND THEY DO NOT COLLECT TITHES. I PRAY THAT MANY MORE GET THE MESSAGE AND CHANGE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

If you disagree with any of the teachings on this website please do not hesitate to email me I will get back to you

Part II                                                                     To tithe or not to tithe that is the question

I recently heard a  Preacher state that the world had a tax system, and that tithing was God tax system. How can Christian continue to listen to none biblical waffle.
